The North American Precision Lightning NetworkSM (NAPLNSM) builds upon the success of the USPLN by utilizing the same precision lightning detection technology.  The NAPLN is a geographic extension, utilizing additional sensors in Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean islands, and northern South America.  While the USPLN provides coverage beyond the continental US borders, the new sensors in the NAPLN ensure the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency in these expanded areas.  The considerable increase in available data in the NAPLN provides significant potential for broader geographic and market reach.
